Recently, the chief legal officer of Rosneft, Romanov, and his party made a special trip to thank Changzhou's New North District Market Supervision Bureau for handling a case of counterfeit production and sales of the company's Bash series lubricant products.
In July this year, the Changzhou Xinbei District Market Supervision Administration received a report that a company in the jurisdiction sold online and offline suspected counterfeit Russian oil company Bash series lubricants. After verification, it was found that the brand lubricants were not authorized in China sales. The Xinbei District Market Supervision Bureau immediately launched an investigation into the enterprises involved. Over 16,000 bottles of antifreeze and lubricants with the "Bash" trademark were seized at the scene.
However, in the course of the subsequent investigation, the market supervision and management department found that the local company involved had previously registered the "Bash" trademark in Russia and transmitted it to China through the Madrid trademark international registration system. For the pinyin of the word "Bash", the LOGO is also different from the Russian oil company's Bash series lubricant logo.
However, in the actual sales process, the companies involved used the trademark letters and logos of the Russian oil company Bash series lubricants to package their products, and the market supervision and management department determined that this was a trademark infringement case involving "hanging sheep's head and selling dog meat" . At present, the Changzhou Xinbei District Public Security Bureau Economic Investigation Brigade has opened a case and has begun investigating this foreign trademark infringement case.
